Team Rensi Motorsports driver Bobby Hamilton. Jr. drove the John Morrell Ford Fusion to an 18th place finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Saturday night. The Tennessee native worked hard all night and was pleased with the performance of his chassis. Throughout the evening, Hamilton commented on how good the car felt. Credit crew chief Chris Wright and his band of crew members for their work on providing Hamilton the chassis setup he needed.The 200 lap race was dominated by Kyle Busch and the horsepower under hood. Busch held off Denny Hamlin to claim the win.
"Our John Morrell Ford handled well all night,” said Hamilton. “I would have liked to have been a little faster, but we had what we had and did the best we could with it. Charlotte can be a very tough race, so we are happy to walk out of here on a positive note and take some energy to Dover next week.”
The Nationwide Series now heads to Dover International Speedway for racing action on the Monster Mile Saturday afternoon. Hamilton will drive the Smithfield Ford in the 200 mile event. (5/28/2008)(Team Rensi PR)
