Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil to host 2nd Annual Dale McDowell for Dirt Strategy seminar January 16th & 17th

Dirt Strategy Seminar to be held at Joe Gibbs Racing in Huntersville, NC

Attention all Dirt Late Model and dirt modified racers! Joe Gibbs Racing is hosting veteran dirt racer Dale McDowell for a two day seminar January 16th & 17th titled – Dirt Strategy, Set up & Racing to Win. The seminar is open to all levels of dirt late model racers and crew chiefs. The 2 day session will be held at the Joe Gibbs Racing 235,000 square foot facility in Huntersville, NC and is presented by Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil.

Dale is one of the most respected and experienced drivers in the dirt late model industry he currently teaches at the Dale McDowell Driving School where he trains all levels of racers on driving dirt from beginners to NASCAR Nextel Cup veterans. “We’re excited to host Dale’s seminar again,” said Lake Speed Jr., director of Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, “last years seminar brought in over 175 people from 22 states and we were proud to have them at our facility.”

Capitalizing on last year’s sold out event; the focus of the seminar is going to be on real life situations and how to adjust during an event. “There are other great seminars, but our subject matter is a little different than them”, stated McDowell, “our focus is more about applying information at the track in real-time with all the variables you get hit with during an event.”

This year’s session will include many additional components over the program last year. One exciting addition will be the inclusion of in-car video incorporated into the instruction to see what actually happens with the car on the track when changes are made. In addition, topics such as driving styles for different geographical regions, the best engine combinations for certain tracks, how to manage tire rules, and even a segment on marketing your team for success.

“We have so much information to convey” noted McDowell, “the Joe Gibbs Racing facility is first class and will be a great environment to learn and soak everything up. My goal is that everyone walks away with a good handle on how to set-up and make changes at the track so they can have more success in 2009.”

The price for the two day seminar is $400 until December 1, when it goes up to $425 which includes lunch both days. Space is limited and last year was sold out, so register soon.
