Speeds were up as teams dialed in their qualifying setups during Happy Hour for the NASCAR Nationswide Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Jason Keller's speed was up a bit, but not proportionate to the rest of the field as he fell from 11th to 21st on the speed chart. The Baker Curb Racing driver hit 176.171 mph in the #27 Scott Tissue Ford. Keller was on the track for 29 laps.
Casey Atwood was right behind Keller, 22nd on the speed chart. The Nashville driver pushed the #05 Day Enterprises MC2 Energy Drink Ford to 175.633 mph, some three-and-a-half mph faster than the earlier session. Atwood also moved up five spots on the speed chart. He got 41 laps in during the session.
Things continued to be difficult for Eric McClure in the #24 Rensi/Hamilton Racing Hefty Ford. While McClure did pick up over two mph, he slipped to the lowest position on the speed chart at 170.627 mph. McClure was out for 49 laps.
Mike Bliss topped the chart in the #1 Phoenix Racing Miccosukee Indian Gmng & Resort Chevrolet with a speed of 180.204 mph.
