Jeff Green had a stout qualifying run in the #05 Day Enterprises Sour Patch Chevy, turning a lap at 179.115 mph, good for 13th position on the starting grid for the NASCAR Nationwide Subway Jalapeno 250 Powered By Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway.
Jason Keller will roll off 16th in the #27 Baker Curb Racing Scott Tissue / Walmart Ford, after qualifying at 178.816 mph.
Eric McClure will start 33rd after a qualifying run of 177.564 mph in the #24 Rensi Hamilton Racing Hefty Ford.
Clint Bowyer will start from the pole in the #29 Richard Childress Racing Holiday Inn Chevy, qualifying at 180.701 mph.
NASCAR waited out a four hour rain delay so the final two cars, driven by the Brothers Earnhardt, Kerry and Dale Jr., could qualify. Both would have made the race anyway, but getting all the cars qualified had implications as to who would race tonight and who would not.
