The Randy Weaver Racing team traveled to the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap TN and the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney SC over the March 6th-7th weekend for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events. On Saturday at "The Gap," Randy Weaver finished third in heat race action to advance into the $10,000-to-win 'Spring Thaw' main event. After starting eleventh on the grid in the 60-lap affair, Randy maintained his starting position and finished in the eleventh spot.
Another $10,000-to-win show was held on Sunday afternoon at the historic Cherokee venue. Randy once again ran third in his competitive heat race to earn the twelfth starting position in the 50-lap feature event. During the course of the 'March Madness' A-Main, "Dream" worked his way past nine competitors to earn an impressive third place outing behind winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Dale McDowell.
